# Migrating to Pebble v2.0

**Note:** This document applies to Pebble Trackers running software version `v1.0.x`.

If your device shows version `v2.0` or higher, you are all set. In this case, please proceed to [device-registration](https://docs.iotex.io/blockchain/ecosystem/powered-by-iotex-devices/pebble-tracker/device-registration "mention") if you haven't done so yet.

## Overview

Please choose the firmware update method that best suits your situation and follow the corresponding instructions:

**Method 1: Firmware Update over USB**

This method applies to any device, regardless of the registration status.

* Follow the [usb-firmware-update](https://docs.iotex.io/blockchain/ecosystem/powered-by-iotex-devices/pebble-tracker/usb-firmware-update "mention") guide to complete the firmware update process
* Proceed to [device-registration](https://docs.iotex.io/blockchain/ecosystem/powered-by-iotex-devices/pebble-tracker/device-registration "mention")  guide to register your device

If you cannot perform a USB firmware update, please proceed with:

**Method 2: Firmware Update Over The Internet**
